High volume client clinic which kinda indicates that they are good, but the only drawback is the phone call is a hit & miss. Sometimes you talk to somebody and would put on hold somebody will pick it up & you repeat yourself and then lost your line. Frustrating.. when they give you a reminder call is always after hours so there’s no way to reconfirm it as the office is closed. You will have to wait the next day. My last appointment was kinda disaster if your sick, you are sick and I called prior to cancelling my appointment if they need medical certificate I can surely provide it. It should not be counted as a strike on your record, then your doctor will drop you as a patient. I didn’t got rid of them inspite their Flaws, shortcomings.

I’ve been going to Westlake center for years. Never had a bad experience with the optometrist and all the staff. Went there 1/13/20. I didn’t have an appointment but they accommodated me. Had to come back a couple of hrs later but took me in right away when I arrived. No pressure to get new glasses.

I love going to doctor Yamadas' office. Everyone there, including dr. Yamada is so sweet and very helpful. They take their time in helping you pick your glasses out from a very wide selection. Everyone in your office, from the reception staff, the person who did the first initial tests, Dr. Chen who did the eye exam, and Karen, were very professional and helpful. Dr. Chen explained her findings in detail and answered all my questions. Karen was very patient in telling me all my options under my vision insurance to help me decide what I needed. Excellent customer service.

Got an urgent appt same day. Waited about 10-15 minutes to see me in between patients. Eyes dilated and waited another 15 minutes. Confirm I had a vitreous detachment. Felt explanations were hurried and at times my questions and remarks were taken as less concerning.

All staff were amazing from the front desk all the way to the doctor’s office, my only comment is that during my appointment it is a busy day , many patient but not enough space to roam around, very crowded.

Dr Chen was great. Karen was great. I forgot to get my prescription after my visit so I called to see if they can email to me. They told me to email them for request. It’s been almost 4 hours, still no email reply.... so I called again and lady told me to wait til end of the day.... how hard is it to just email someone their prescription?

Only place where staff is 100% attentive. Once i set foot inside the store, i get acknowledged and greeted right away Their products are A1 quality. Dr Chen, Optometrist was very thorough in explaining things to me. Examination of my vision was very thorough and excellent as well.

Attentive service for our family even though the office was very busy.

It can get pretty busy in the office, but everyone is there to help. You don't feel like you've been forgotten. They keep the process moving doing the fairly simple paperwork and the pre-exam. But Dr. Chen is the best! She doesn't make the appointment seemed rushed even though she knows there are more patients waiting. She explains all the procedures she performs and still has the time to discuss all of the results from the tests and answer any questions. Their scheduling is pretty close to always on time. And if you do need to get new glasses, the young ladies are so helpful and patient. Again, they do not make you feel rushed. They always have a smile. The selection of eyewear is outstanding. Going to any doctor can sometimes be an ordeal, but Westlake Optometry makes any visit so bearable. I highly recommend them.

As always, Westlake Vision Center did a superb job. We’ve been going there for well over 20 years, and we have never been let down once. The selection, service and expertise are all top-notch. Can't go wrong here.

We've been going to Dr. Yamada for nearly 20 years! He's always been knowledgeable, professional and friendly! The staff are all helpful and we like the wife selection of frames to fit any taste and budget.

In general the staff are friendly and warm when they communicate with patients. In my recent visit I was comfortable talking to them with anything. They were like family to me.

Dr. Yamada has been my doctor since Gemco days and he is as kind and gracious as he has always been. The staff are first rate ... each and everyone of them!

I’ve been seeing Dr Yamada for a couple of decades now. He knows my eyes so well he could find me in a police line-up of just eyeballs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they stock great frames. I’m partial to the Kio Yamato line. So flattering!

Dr Yamada and his team are the best. I met him at my sons school in 1990. He was teaching the kids about thier eyes. I have been going to Westlake Vision since then. My whole damily goes there too. Everybody is willing to help everyone. The problem is each patient requires so much time so those waiting have to wait a lot - really a lot longer. If you have another appointment to go to -- rest assured you will end up being late or missing it. Regardless of day/time ... there's always a lot of people. I was there on a Saturday; I was there on a Monday - - same thing. Waiting time is a lot longer than the time spent by the staff assisting you.

Unparalleled proficiency., good equipment, and nice people. Dr. Yamada and Josephine for now get a 5-star medal from me. Parking is fairly easy, too. This was my first visit and I hope to patronize them always.

The doctor was very knowledgeable and professional. The area that can be improved is the wait time for an optician was too long. Granted it was kind of crowded. Maybe turn around time for each customer can be shortened. There was a customer before me that was just chatting about not-glasses with the optician.

My first time to this vision place and although I was overwhelmed at the onset with the hectic pace (I am used to a quieter environment when I visit doctor’s offices) of activities, things settled down within the hour I was there. I am highly satisfied with the “on time” check-up and Dr. Yamada expertly explained to me his findings. Joanne was also helpful and accommodating in assisting me finding the right glasses. I would recommend this office to my friends and colleagues.

Westlake vision certer is my first and favorit place for eye care. The staff is friendly and optometrists are experienced and patient explaining all my vision questions and concerns. They are extremely helpful when selecting frames. Five star service. Thumbs up!

Georgina was able to give me the Best Customer Service in my almost 3 decades of being a client with Westlake Vision Center. She knows her job and has a good rapport with the patient. She is cheerful, friendly welcoming and her laughter is contagious. She attended to all my needs and made me feel comfortable. She is an asset to Westlake Vision Center. It would be very nice if I could make my appointment online. I called and was put on hold for more than 5 minutes. I was at work and could n out hold longer. I called again an hour or so later, was again on hold for over 5 min, but did make my appointment. Back in Texas 5 years ago I could choose my eye doctor, see their open appointments and choose one online. It's the 21st century and if they can do it in Texas why not here next door to Silicon Valley?

Front desk was nice. Eye check person was nice. Doctor was knowledgable and understanding. i didnt get the names, but the person that helped me get my glasses was nice, though i wished she would have asked me about my price range. It was waaayyyy out of my price range. I'm not a name brand person and i would have gone with a non name brand had i known if she asked me about my price. I was a lilttle upset at myself for not saying anything. sigh!!! i should have say maybe another lower brand but i had to lied to myself. Though everyone was nice, i just didnt like that they kind of use that 'trick" on people. I may be looking for a eye doc in the near future.

Finally I found an Optometry office REALLY CARE for their patients. Started with the front desk , to schedule the appointment, then Dr. explained to me how to treat my dry eyes, helped me to select the perfect frame, and save some money. Finally come to pick my glass. I am very HAPPY.

Dr. Yamada was awesome! However the front desk staff wasn't so great. It took 3 call attempts to finally make an appointment and turns out they call me on the day of to tell me Dr. Yamada is actually out of town AND they've double booked at my time slot basically forcing me to reschedule. Also, the first thing they always say when I call is "Could you please hold?" and sometimes it would be forever or they just hang up.

Like I told the Doctor, I lived 4 hours and now 8 hr away, but I continue to come back because of the staff. Firstly, I loved Dr Kong, her bedside manners and expertise made my experience extraordinary. Since she’s left a long time ago, I continued coming back since the staff are so nice. Debbie always helps me out and gets me in ASAP. Overall, I don’t mind making a trip to the city, I get taken care of! Keep up the great work!

Please have pricing (contacts, frames, etc.) readily available along with any recent discounts, insurance forms, etc., that apply to the purchase. All employees that work the front desk should know this in order to quickly and efficiently help all customers in and out of your office. You should also schedule customers so that a back-up does not occur at the front desk and if it does, please ask customers in line to take a seat and wait. Your phone customers, as was my experience, need to be asked to hold while the customer being helped at the front desk is taken care of. My eye doctor was exceptional in her knowledge of my case and was very professional with my exam. Thank you for your knowledge!

Did not have an appointment. Just happened to walk-in to see if there were any cancelled appointments (Mind you it was on 12/29/17). My luck.They just happen to have a cancellation and I was seen by Dr. within 10mins. Staff was very accomodating when I chose my glasses and gave good suggestions.

The representative that assisted me in finding the right pair of glasses really took her time and explained everything very clear to me! I appreciate all of her help.

Everything was fine especially considering how busy the center was. I gave only four stars because later in the evening I received a call from one of the desk assistants who wanted my crefit card number over the phone because "they had cancelled my initial charge of $40 and wanted to charge me $10 instead" She had forgotten that I had an extra procedure and thus the first charge was the correct one. So I will be coming in the next day to charge my card again. Making this a bit creepy is the conversation we were having at the time of the office visit about people stealing credit card numbers to use. It was the same person who then called me later to get my crefit card number over the phone.

Dr Yamada is knowledgeable in his expertise. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

As usual, Dr. Yamada was thorough and professional when he performed his eye exam in a very pleasant way. His staff are always attentive. Josie, in particular, patiently and skillfully fixed my pair of eyeglass that I accidentally sat on and that I thought was ruined. In less than 15 minutes, she returned it to me as good as new. Remarkable! And as usual, Anita made sure that everything was taken care of before I left the office.
