I always have had complete confidence in the oral care that I have received at Northern Virginia Dental Arts. That includes dental treatment at the firm for over 30 years! I had an emergency situation. They worked me in the same day. I was taken into the office a few minutes before my appointment time. Everyone was cordial and encouraging. Xrays were taken. A diagnosis was made. Medication prescribed. I was out in 30 minutes and on my way to recovery. 😊

As everyone knows having a tooth extracted is not a fun thing - but Dr. Smiley and Kenia made it a short, fairly pleasant event! 😂😂 my discomfort was minimal and I was back home before I knew it! As always Dr.Smiley was amazing.

I checked out Dr. Mark before settling on him as my new dentist. He is excellent, extreme attention to detail in everything he does, for the patient and for himself. Rose is a superb dental assistant. I enjoy speaking (a little), and listening to her as I'm getting my cleaning. She was also concerned about my choices in toothpaste. She has real interest in the patient. A very positive experience.

I only receive the best of care from Dr. Mark Winkler. He takes time to explain x-rays and procedures. His crowns and fillings look like regular white teeth. If your teeth need to be numbed before drilling, injections are very close to painless. He is also very friendly. My hygienist, Julie, is very thorough and attentive to details and to the health of your gums and teeth. The whole staff is friendly and skilled, including the assistants and ladies at the front desk who deal with appointments, bills and insurance. I have only praises for Northern Virginia Dental Associates. Christine

I was an emergency patient, not having been seen in the practice in over three years. Nonetheless I was booked immediately for an appointment. My former dentist had left the practice so I saw a new dentist (to me). She presented my options to me and booked me the next day for definitive treatment. I had some self-imposed post-op issues that evening and she was on the phone with me for a period of two hours until the issues had been resolved. The next morning she was in touch with me before office hours offering to see me if necessary. It was not necessary but she remained in touch with me throughout the weekend morning. I have been treated exceptionally well by this practice for nearly thirty years with various practitioners. I’m still here after that length of time regardless of having moved a good distance away. I can’t say enough good about the doctors. The staff is incredible. Every single member of the team, whatever their role, is highly skilled but just as important, they are unfailingly pleasant and cheerful. I think there are few people who really enjoy going to the dentist but these folks put patients at ease immediately and keep us at ease even as we are paying our bills on the way out the door. All in all this is an exceptionally well run dental practice and has been such for thirty years that this patient knows of. I would never go anywhere else.

Jill was extremely patient as she cleaned my wife''s teeth, made difficult because my wife has dementia and is somewhat argumentative or combative. Jill was most professional as she cleaned my teeth as well - explaining which toothpaste and mouthwash are helpful for fighting gum disease.

There are many good reasons I have been going to this dental office for about 19 years. Regardless of which dentist you see, all of them are smart, knowledgeable and friendly. The same can be said of the dental hygienists and office staff. All of them make sure you're comfortable and know the best oral treatment for you. All greet you by name, make good eye contact, smile and ask how you're doing, truly wanting to know the answer. Most of the time, the hygienists are gentle working in your mouth. If they aren't, you can easily tell them, and they will remedy the problem. It's easy to make an appointment for your preferred time/day.

Dr. Hoffman replaced a filling without any discomfort and called that evening to find out if I was experiencing any problems. She also made me aware of another tooth that might need restoration in the future and explained treatment in detail.

It was a very pleasant experience. There is a warm fuzzy atmosphere among the staff and patients. That makes for an enjoyable rather than a dreaded trip to the dentist.

Dr. Hoffman is such a special dentist. She is kind and caring. She does not rush you off the seat, she is very knowledgeable. She will work with you to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the work. Very lucky to have found her. All dentists should aspire to be like her.

Ashley was my dental hygienist for a visit I had earlier this week. I can't express how impressed I am with her patient care skills. She was professional, knowledgeable, proactive and most importantly, patient centered. She took some extra time to educate me about what was happening with two of my teeth. She even took high resolution pictures and showed me to ensure I was truly understanding how my teeth were doing. I greatly appreciate how she delivered such high quality services and attended to every detail with care and consideration.

Finding out that I was not on the schedule for the day of May 9th, l was not turned away but invited into a dental room. Dr Neil performed a 11/2 hour root canal on a tooth that could be saved. Not once did l feel like a “non-scheduled” patient and was treated very special!
