Most importantly, he did an extraordinary job listening as I described what I was experiencing. I had a bit of a wait in both the waiting area and examination room before being seen by a provider. Prompt, courteous and professional intake and medical testing. Perhaps not as thorough but I was only looking for Covid/Flu/Strep testing. Medical practices were appropriate. Rapid test results were prompt and discussed along with course of treatment. The only negative is the delay in receiving laboratory test results as it is now 30 hours without a post to my “ portal.” I would highly recommend this service save the delay which I assume is beyond the practice limits of Urgent MD as they use an independent lab.

My only complaint was that the dr asked me three times what pharmacy I use so she could send the prescriptions. In a span of one minute she was not able to remember the name of the pharmacy and had to ask me THREE times. In the end she sent it to the wrong pharmacy ( no surprise) and we only found out because I received a message from a pharmacy that I never use saying my prescription was ready. The Dr was not able to retain the name of a pharmacy….wondering if she was retaining anything I was telling her about my symptoms and how I was feeling

I visited after having a glass fall from a cabinet and cut me under the eye high in my cheekbone. The NP cleaned the wound and glued skin applying an stristrip. Six days later I was pleased to see a perfect result.

There was only one other family in the waiting room so I was taken quickly. My “provider”, a PA was sure of my diagnosis and performed a full viral panel with results posted the next day. When I was unable to access my portal, I called and was given the results on the phone. It was all very easy. And staff was pleasant.

From the start, the ladies were very warm and welcoming. The inside staff, was equally nice and concerned for your reasons coming in. All in all a very pleasant experience

One woman on the front desk(I don’t recall her name) was extremely helpful in printing out my test results for a pre-surgical Covid test and telephoned me the next day telling me she had my document. Came in for Covid testing which turned out positive. The physician assistant was quite thorough and pleasant, waiting time was short and the doctor was fantastic about asking lots of questions regarding my symptoms, my health history, what medications I took (which was important to know before prescribing Paxlovid, if I needed it). I received my results immediately and the next day through the portal. I would definitely recommend UrgentMD for walk-in covid testing. Very clean facilities as well!

Short wait time and doctor really listened to me. A pleasant experience when I really wasn’t feeling well.

I had a urgent matter on 3/13/22 .I went to urgent care in cedarhurst they were caring and attentive. So far each time I have been there I was never disappointed. Thanks to everyone there you made urgent matters a little less bearable because of your care.👍🏼

The people at the front desk were very professional. They were courteous and answered all questions. I experienced very little wait time on the two occasions I was at the office. The medical staff doing the testing were also professional. The only problem I experienced was the use of the software used to find out my test results. I couldn’t find out my password and user name after repeated requests. But I would use your facility and recommend it.

Everyone was polite, caring and put me at ease. I would recommend this urgent care to anyone and go back myself.

I appreciate how fast I was seen because I was in significant pain. The reception at check-in could not have been more efficient, was immediately screened for meds etc by nurse followed by doctor exam and prescription. Thanks again!

The doctor has a good beside manner but he sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and the wrong location. I told him twice that my pharmacy was RiteAid on Francis Lewis Blvd. In Rosedale. He still sent the prescription to CVS on Francis Lewis Blvd. near the Whitestone bridge.

I find this facility to be consistently good. Wait time is short, staff is courteous, and diagnoses are usually accurate with good recommendations. If they're not comfortable with what they see on an Urgent Care level, they do not hesitate to recommend seeing a doctor or going to the emergency room. Doctors and PAs are friendly and thorough in explaining what's going on. I highly recommended this facility.

Collin was very nice and very gentle with the Covid test. I’m annoyed with Urgent Care because I called 2x today (3/10/21) to see if my results came in and I was supposed to get a call back from the automated phone service but I didn’t. The phone system is the worst! I’m still waiting to receive the text message so that I can register on the portal! My daughter received hers and we went to take the Covid test together on Monday (3/8/21)!

Well despite the pandemic, and many people obviously coming in for testing,everything was orderly..They were attentive and aware of the need to monitor the number of people in the waiting room. The upfront staff was courteous and professional even when dealing with difficult clients which I observed. Despite the number of people , the wait time was reasonable for me.

Before I came to this office I went to one closer to my home. The care was so poor as soon as I walked in I almost immediately left and found this place. After filling out my intake forms, I had only a short wait until I was seen by an MA (who took my vitals). PA Branch came in afterwards and he was excellent! He was knowledgeable and most assuring and helpful. PA Branch reviewed my symptoms and took a couple of swabs to be tested. He discussed my results and gave helpful advice. I was able to follow up with a different medical representative by phone a couple of days after my visit. Dr Van Amerongen called me that same afternoon with my final test results and called in my antibiotic. All in all, I was able to get quick and reliable treatment when my own doctor was not in over the weekend. I’m grateful to have this Urgent Care option so close to my home!

I didn’t feel like I was being rushed at all. They were all very kind and personable. After my results from my x-ray the doctor sat and spoke with me for some time explaining everything . Also told me if I had any questions after I leave do not hesitate to call him. Highly recommended!

I was very satisfied with the patient care service. As , soon I walk in I got a form to fill out, and I was call in right away. The tech took my vitals and I was seen right after by the physician. It was not a long wait. I was very happy about that. Everyone was very pleasant any efficient.

Was very happy with my exam and the people I dealt with. However, the website and information on the building stated that the office is open at 8 AM on Sunday when in fact it opens at 9 AM. This information should be corrected as I had to leave and return because of this incorrect info.

I was just there today 8/719. The entire staff is friendly and warm. Nurse Jacky is exceptional she know how to treat her patients. I had an xray and she apologize for the room being cold. Because I complain of being of cold earlier.The doctor is very nice friendly and professional. I wanted drugs antibiotics but he explain the overuse of ABT. The doctor and I chat about my vacation and he recommended places for me to visit.( Lol) The office is nice and clean. The wait was very short. Love the place and staff. My prescriptions was send to my pharmacy be a nice young lady.

Thank goodness for urgent care! Emergency room vs. Urgent Care is like the old DMV vs. the present one (for you younger people you have no idea how the old one was). All staff are friendly, sound concerned, and the doctor is comfortable to discuss your concerns with, never gives off an air of "would you please finish your questions, I've got other patients". You're seen with minimal waiting time, and maximal healing, within their constraints. Then they recommend where you should go next. Rockaway Turnpike urgent care does their job well

When I requested the vaccine be sent to CVS Pharmacy in Cedarhurst, their staff failed to inform me that NY STATE laws required a physician or nurse to do such injections. There was a very brief waiting period before I was called in to see the doctor. The doctor was very kind. He quickly diagnosed my issue and made appropriate recommendations to address the issue I was very pleased at the quality of treatment which so received.
