Not only did Dr. Agarwal expertly administer the required shot to my eye, he and his assistants did a great job of keeping me comfortable during the entire procedure. Because I will be in WA at the time when I should be receiving my next shot, he kindly located an ophthalmologist for me who is located as close as possible to my residence up there. Also he checked out the credentials of this M.D. I am grateful for his concern.

Best Doctor in Town!!! I got a chunk of metal slag stuck in my eye Welding on a Friday afternoon. Emergency room was absolute garbage, and this eye doctor was the only one in town that would see me last minute before closing! Stayed open after hours to help me and only charged for a basic eye exam! If it wasn't for this Office and Doctor, I possibly could have gone blind! Very Highly Recommended

Hi, my experience with your surgery center was great. Everyone from reception to the OR and recovery was friendly and sharp. There was only one person who I think could use some additional training and that was the IV nurse. She tried to poke a small vein in my wrist and missed the vein on the first try. Second try she got the vein but the needle wouldn't go in. She kept pushing until my wrist felt like it was on fire. I think she happened to hit a valve in the vein. Finally gave up and moved to my elbow and the needle slipped right in. Other than that minor confusion, everything when smoothly with a good result. Thanks to your entire team. Jim

My appointment went very well. The wait was much less than usual. Dr. Agarwal and his assistant, Jonathan listened to my concerns about my previous treatment and this one was so much better. I am thankful for their diligence and compassion during this visit.

A total contrast to my last visit. Dr.Chowins was pleasant, efficient and well spoken. He answered all my questions clearly and completely. The tech who helped me was also excellent-as expected, and the front desk people were cheery and helpful. I found out why my previous glasses Rx didn’t work, and had my distress over my right eye laid to rest.

I arrived 15 minutes before my 3pm appointment, but was not called until 30 minutes after the appointment. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Waiting almost 30 minutes to be put in a room with a 6 year old at the end of the day is a little tricky…then we had to wait another 15-20 for the doctor once we got a room. Maybe don’t schedule so many people in a certain time frame or allow for longer appointments. The entire office always seems to be running behind. Otherwise we love the care we get.

I like the office, the set up, certainly the doctor, Dr. Baldwin I believe, but I don't like eye appointments because I hate just sitting there, drives me nuts. I am very busy. With COVID I swore never to go again during COVID, takes even more time. SO, I was amazed at how organized it all was. Obviously eye dilation and prep stuff takes time, but it was so well done I was in and out and got on to all the stuff I had to do. I loved it and I was so grateful. The doctor and assistants are always pleasant and good at what they do, but in addition I was in and out. GREAT!!!

Everything was just right! Including IMPROVEMENT in my vision:20/30 last year, 20/20 this! Not many 88 year olds can claim that!! One thing….. I would have appreciated knowing, in advance, that I could pay for your new machine’s magic and NOT need the horrid drops and dilation. It makes a difference in transportation arrangements and the effective use of my own vision the rest of the day.

Dr. Baldwin and the staff were wonderful as always. One little thing was that somehow my check in paperwork didn't get where it was supposed to go, so I ended up waiting 50 minutes and then asking how much longer it would be. As soon as everyone realized what happened, I was called back and everyone apologized for the mix up. I understand things like that can happen and will keep that in mind, just in case so I wouldn't wait as long before asking. It was very unusual. One thing I really like about the office is that I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes with 10 minutes being about average. I do appreciate that everyone scrambled to take care of me right away and that they acknowledged the error, instead of brushing it off. Everyone is always professional and clearly knows their various jobs, explaining as they go so that I'm not thinking, "What the heck was that?" Dr. Baldwin is terrific. I feel very comfortable leaving my eye care in his hands.

I had never met Dr Chowins, nor had I ever awakened to a bloody eye before. I was nervous and worried and sad that my normal doctor, Dr Basich, was unavailable. I have been a patient of Dr Basich’s for nearly 20 years, and had never seen any other of the doctors at your office. But I was so so grateful that I had been able to call at 8 AM and get in by 10:00 AM. Dr Chowins turned out to be such a pleasure!! He was kind, gentle and concerned. He did a thorough exam and assured me it was a broken blood vessel and not to worry about it. All my concerns were reduced and I left feeling very lucky to be a patient at SLO Eye Associates. Now I have two terrific doctors I can call on when I have eye concerns!!!

I am a 70-year-old women . I have had a significant chronic pain disorder for many years. Bobbing up and down and back and forth in a moving car makes my pain worse. Throughout the ride, the following is a list of my concerns. 1. He drove too fast, overall. 2. He drove too fast over some speed bumps which caused my body to bounce around, as noted above. 3. He seemed impatient that there was significant traffic and in a hurry to finish my trlp. This caused him to speed up and brake hard, abruptly. This also caused me to be bounced around in my seat, despite wearing my seat belt. I have used the Uber service several times in the recent past and have been pleased with the service that has been provided, so I will continue to use UBER in the future. This was the best appointment, time wise, that I have ever had there, approximately one hour. Most of the time, the same procedure takes at least two to two and a half hours. The fact that I was Dr. Theodore’s last appointment could have been a factor, as she needed to leave early. I didn’t have any pain in my eye the rest of the day. At times I have a lot of pain afterwards.

The reason I gave you 4 stars only, is because your receptionist who was standing outside stopped me before I stepped though the door and told me I needed a mask to go in, and I said I thought that was lifted June 15th? She told me to read the sign on the door that was off to the side saying I needed a mask. I told her I’m coming from Atascadero and I wished when I made the appointment they would of told me because I didn’t have one with me. She then proceeded to tell me I need to always have one with me! I told her I’ve had my Covid shots, she said how our we supposed to know that! Finally I asks if I could have a mask then, (she didn’t offer me one) told me to wait outside, and she isn’t coming out so I stepped in, now she all upset! When I went to check in she was the receptionist. I showed her my Covid card that I had my shot. I feel all she needed to say me at the very beginning that I needed a mask and that she would get me one, simple! Instead of giving me a lecture! I’m 71 years old and don’t feel I needed to be treated this way! The rest of your staff was very polite and helpful.

But when I first called the office to report that I had an infection in my tear duct, I was told to report to the ER because it might be conjunctivitis, a sign of coronavirus. I went in for a brief checkup and wound up getting an entire workup, Because of careful discussion and time on the part of Dr. Basich it was discovered that I need a simple laser procedure that will help my vision.

Very helpful in getting my prescription processed through Rite Aid in Morro Bay since the pharmacist in Cayucos told me he wouldn't order for me again because he didn't make enough from what he can charge me and what insurance paid. He then had a consultation so he could charge and make up what he felt he should be paid.

While the staff and doctor are good, the time with the latter feels very rushed. It would be better to have a bit more time to ask a question or two. You feel you are on an assembly line with very little leeway.

Everyone was courteous and friendly. The doctors were very thorough and always spend enough time with you to answer all questions.

The visit was great beyond taking a lot of my day. Dr. Theodore and your staff were very professional, but there was an awful lot of waiting with my eyes dilated so I couldn't read. Despite good care over the years, my vision has ebbed with time. That makes me happy.

Always a good experience. The doctors are all wonderful and the technicians are pleasant and professional. The only issue that I have, and it generally happens every visit is that I need a very detailed receipt for my flex spending account for reimbursement and no matter how I try to explain what I need I can never seem to get that information. This last visit when I was checking out I was handed my glasses prescription for later use and it wasn't until I got home that I realized that it was for someone else. I know it's just for glasses but would hope that the office would be a little more careful about handing out PII to other patients.

I was disappointed at my annual appt last week to learn there are no longer any glasses under 75$ for VSP patients who wish to pay only the deductible. I think you will lose patients as Walmart and other places will take your business. The lady in the optical shop was not very nice compared to all the staff I encountered over the years.

Timely service. All staff performed as highly trained and caring professionals. Dr. Theodore was great, and explained all steps and took care for lessen any infection or discomfort.

As usual my experiences at SLO Eye have always been excellent. However, it was my longest afternoon in years. The Grapevine was closed, so it took nearly an hour to get there and 2 hours to get back to Nipomo.

Again I was impressed. Dr. Theodore was very thorough. I especially liked that she wanted to talk to my hemotologist oncologist to find out about the markers I might have for multiple myeloma. I love it when my Drs communicate with each other!

As a longtime patient of Dr Horne, when a small, painful bit of wood or fiber became lodged in my eye, I knew where to go. I visited the Templeton office at opening. They arranged a same day appointment for me in SLO. There, I was worked in early. Dr Baldwin examined me, removed the object, provided sample eye drops, gave me simple instructions, and told me what to expect. He was patient, precise, and comforting. Over the next day, pain dissipated gradually, and the following morning all was well, as he had told me to expect. Each person in SLO Eye’s offices with whom I interacted was professional, sympathetic, and thorough. As an established patient, records were update quickly and my paperwork was minimal, simple, and well explained. Their handling of our insurances were precise and required no work by me. This was our third family eye emergency over the years, and each experience has followed a like process, with best possible outcomes. We feel fortunate to be their patients and know SLO Eye Associates is part of our community.

After having a recent injection in my right eye, I developed floaters. I called the office and they had me come right in. I was given a thorough exam and was assured all looked ok but was told to call if there were changes and not to hesitate calling even though the weekend was approaching. I'm grateful!

My annual exams have always gone smoothly. Dr. Horn noticed a problem during my last exam, and immediately I was set up for an exam by Dr. Sharon Theodore. She and the other staff treated me calmly and thoroughly examined my eye. She cooperated to refer me to a Stanford Eye Clinic expert. The expert there communicated with Dr. Theodore. I am confident they are the right team to correct my vision. SLO Eye Associates are friends!

Dr Gealy is the greatest! Very smart, answers all my questions, and always seems interested in me. The rest of the staff is good too One important thing. A few years ago I had a vitreous bleed, I was concerned about it and called the office. The answer was: “come on in and will fit you in.“ None of this: “ Our first available appointment is a week from next Thursday,” that you sometimes hear from other offices. To me this is a sign of good training of the office staff, and prioritizing patient’s well-being and concerns over the office staff being able to leave on time every day. I think you should be proud of this.

Dr. Bashich listened and made a plan, increased astigmatism prescription and suggested eye drops 4 times a day if my eyes felt better with them. They did and the ‘lines’ through letters as well as poor distance vision all improved. Even better, my eyes stopped hurting and my headaches diminished. I’m a very happy customer👍

You do eye care very well, but the overall experience is significantly marred by the parking situation. I arrived in plenty of timeout that was used up circling the parking lot. In the end, I had to park in Marigold shopping center and walk back to your office, crossing both busy streets. This was not the first time I've had such difficulties, and I am tired of it. I hope you can resolve the situation so that I don't have to find another doctor.

Dr Gealy Was very communicative, kind, and gentle. He was interested in me, my history and my future welfare. I really enjoyed and appreciated the visit with him. He provided me with a lot of information about my ophthalmologic situation.

I was happy to see Dr Gealy at my visit. I had a problem with fogginess of my left eye that Dr Gealy seems to have solved. I am following his instructions of warm compresses on my eyes, frequent refresh drops throughout the day, and lid scrubs for blepharitis. I have had less fogginess in my eye which is a wonderful improvement! Thank you!

A modest wait time, pre-tests administered timely and efficiently by clinical staff. Exam with Dr. Basich was thorough and all my questions were answered. Dr. Basich is very friendly and patient orientated, as is the whole staff.

I have always been totally satisfied with the quality care I receive when I come into your office. But that applies to being IN the office. I am a retired orthopedic surgeon, in the later years as many as six doctors in the office. A human being would answer the phone, She would say, "Doctor's office, how can I help you?" A personal relationship in dealing with a business, particularly the medical business, is very important. Having a machine answer the phone telling you to push buttons for what you want, destroys a lot.

Office staff is very efficient and I appreciate Larry Baldwin's life-changing advice about taking care of my health before cataract surgery. I have begun doing that so I'll probably have it done in March. I ordered new glasses there and the woman (sorry - don't remember her name) who helped me with the order was great!

It was a bit slow going from room to open area to room, etc. The testing was very professional and my doctor is outstanding. As I checked out the desk told me it would cost me $50. to get my prescription. That is WRONG. My insurance pays for the entire exam that INCLUDES the prescription. William W. Cotnam

I am awaiting surgical scheduling for cataract. My appointment for a pre-check was a little chaotic, which I anticipated for a Friday afternoon. I did my do-diligence (provided a copy of my lens dimensions in the other eye) and have not heard anything. It has been a week.

I really appreciated that there was a waiting room with toys for kids, so I did not have to worry about keeping my toddler occupied while we were waiting. Dr. Stathocopoulos is wonderful with children and extremely knowledgeable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this group to any other parents who have a child with vision problems.
