The receptionist was very helpful, pleasant and easy to talk to. My physical therapy session went well and my concerns were addressed. The only small issue I had was the seating in the waiting room. There is only one firm chair with arms that a person with mobility issues or injuries can use. The rest are soft leather sofas and armless accent chairs. It would be helpful to have more functional and appropriate chairs to accommodate a patient’ s limitations and needs. There was two of us wanting to sit the one firm chair that we knew we could get out of.

Really appreciate having an appt with both Mari who worked to diagnose the cause of my vertigo by testing a number of things and moving my head around and having me do exercises and asked thoughtful questions and listened well. She then transitioned me to Donna who asked thoughtful questions and listened and then had me relax while she massaged my neck muscles. She showed me some text in a reference book and we talked about nutrition. I felt reassured and a lot better after the total hour of care. I was able to relay this experience to my primary care doctor at an afternoon visit. I felt better over the next several days and was able to return to work at my office on Monday. Thanks!

Casey Mulligan was very thorough with his examination and checked everything. It was the first time that I saw him. Julie took over after him and showed and helped me with several exercises and gave me a plan on what to do at home. The problem at PT Innovations is not in the service but in the parking problem. Can't something be done? It's really a huge frustration and as a result, I was tempted to try the other firm my physician recommended.

Chris was delightfully friendly, attentive and easy to talk with. She immediately knew what I could do to improve my pain, which was so very encouraging. I feel very relieved and confident that her direction is already getting me back in shape. My appointment was actually in Oakland and it went very well. Alex was great. There was a mix up about location so the scheduler should take better care to ensure they are scheduling at the correct location. I left work early and wasted money on Uber for nothing.

I have been treated -- and a few times mistreated -- by well over 25 physical therapists in the past 15 years, perhaps ten of them from PTI, others from Alta Bates, etc. Among all those trained individuals, Chris Allen is without question the most knowledgeable, intelligent, patient, and competent physical therapist I've worked with - by far. In addition to her expertise as a PT and her very valuable experience, she also has another very crucial skill that can't easily be learned: She listens to her patients, asks questions and pays attention to how they respond to treatment. This has made the difference in my case between getting better or getting worse. More than once, I hate to say, I've had a physical therapist who, despite their education and background, has done me more harm than good. Many are not unlike the doctor that pauses outside the examination room and reads a patient's chart, then with little or no interaction, without even asking a question or paying attention to the patient, assumes he/she has all the information they need to treat them. That, I'm afraid, is perhaps the most dangerous type of health care professional there is. Chris Allen takes a scientific approach to her patients and gathers truth from facts, including critical information about the patient gathered from the person who knows most what the hell is going on -- the person she is treating.

I was very pleased with the experience I had with PTI. Most of my appointments were with Will and one with Julie and I feel they are both excellent therapists. I am making progress and look forward to continuing appointments with PTI. Thank you for such a great service.

I felt I was in very competent hands with both the physical therapist who evaluated me and with the assistant who worked with me after.

The office staff was helpful and accommodating. My therapist was fantastic! Of the 3 professionals I have seen for this condition the PT at PT innovations was the only one that I felt actually tried to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it. She also did the best job of explaining it and making sure I understood. Finally, she not only knew what I was talking about when I told her my body sometimes reacts differently than the norm (other PTs have looked at me strangely) but immediately took that knowledge into account for her diagnosis and treatment plan.

Therapist was great however you facility is cramped and uncomfortable. Especially for people with mobility issues.

Allen Ling identified a problem and worked on it. I left the clinic in vastly better shape than when I entered it. I am very pleased.

I've been coming for more than a year and do appreciate the staff tremendously. What discourages me is the increasingly difficulty in parking. If I park in one of the two stalls at the back of the small lot, I have to wait ten to fifteen minutes while the person parking behind me is located and moves. Street parking on the same block is tough to find. I hope you'll find a way to solve this. I also think there could be greater coordination between the PT who prescribes an exercise regime and those that carry it out. There's consistency with Julie in this regard, but with others, who are great people to work with, the plan seems individualistic.

Casey is great. The check in and check out could have been a little improved, the waiting room needs a spruce up, and the front room is really loud. I was fortunately seen in a back room. Had I been seen for my first visit in the noisy front space, I think I would have declined care. I want to reiterate though that I felt Casey was very competent and made my experience in the facility go from 2 up to 4 stars.

Will did an excellent job of listening to me and suggesting exercises to try and alleviate my symptoms. Since I am at the beginning of the process, I can't say whether my objectives matched the outcome.

This was my first time at PT Innovations, and I worked with Mauri. She was excellent and helped me to understand what my problems are. I look forward to working with her more.

My PT was an excellent listener, asked good questions, and made a careful assessment of my issue. She gave me a very practical program to follow. Also, she was careful to be sure my insurance was in place! All in all, an excellent experience.

My Therapist Aaron was great. I was sent here instead of getting an MRI. He examined my ankle and confirmed that there was a problem and loss of strength. He came up with a plan to strengthen the muscles around my ankle.

My appointment was on time. I had two half hour sessions with two different therapists, both of whom I've had before for another problem. The first was to evaluate my problem and the second was to treat my problem. Both were very attentive and helpful. The treatment I received was also very helpful and I could start to feel some relief right away. My only complaint is that finding parking here is very difficult.

I was worked on by Allen. He was extremely nice and welcoming. He answered all my questions He showed genuine concern for the pain I had had. He showed me exercises I could do at home. He did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend innovations to others. Great job.

Great experience w Donna, she is amazing!! But after getting referred here by my doctor and approved by insurance as well as by PT innovations all my appt. were suddenly cancelled and I'm out! So weird..and very unprofessional. 5 stars for Donna 0 stars everywhere else. I would like my co pay back as well! Waste of my time.

Donna in Orinda was wonderful. She picked up on my scoliosis right away. The muscle pull will take time, and a trip to Europe did not help recovery. I'll be in touch to resume treatment.

Assessment gave me hope I can get sciatic pain behind me and establish ongoing exercise program suitable to strenghen core. Like holistic approach.

Excellent balance of efficiency and friendliness

The physical therapist was very knowledgeable and professional during the evaluation. The physical therapy assistant did a great job showing the exercises and providing written instructions.

Only had initial visit so far

Therapist, Donna, was kind and patient and seemed knowledgeable. However, location is not ideal for anyone using a walker. Walkway from parking lot is rough and pebbly and catches the walker up. Dangerous unless you go very slow.

Allen and Thomas were excellent. My referring doctor directed me to ontain pt only from Allen. Allen said that's not how your practice works. I have informed her (Dr Sawires). Confusing

Christine is great -- thoughtful, funny, great hands .... And on this last visit, I met Julie, who was also good to talk with as she was doing the ultrasound on my knees. Also, the reception staff have always been cheerful, clear, and generally on top of it!

The people are friendly. During a physical therapy evaluation, the therapist explained my health condition and treatment plan very thoroughly. I felt It's very helpful in my first visit.

An evaluation of current status was thourough and a plan to restore muscular strength an stamina was set for the future. Immediate massage stabilized problem knees.

The evaluation was carefully done . The therapy was helpful and considered my personal needs.

I much appreciated being able simply to get a brush-up on my ongoing independent pool exercises without going through a more elaborate reevaluation process. Most helpful! Continuity of care is most important to me, and I've been able to get it at PTI.

Very welcoming environment for first visit. PT and aide were professional and even more importantly did not waste time attending to the diagnosis and treatment for my injury. After some years in sports medicine as a physician I was quite comfortable with the approach and method of treatment. Especially leaving the facility feeling better than when I arrived!
