Most thorough exam ever.

I feel like the optometrist actually listened to my concerns. Often times, I've just been shuttled through with a prescription after spending around a $100 on exams. But these ladies actually sat dosn and went through the billing with me briefly beforehand so I knew what I was getting into. Then the doctor saw me and realised I had astigmatism in both eyes. I've been wearing glasses/contacts for a decade and a half and no one has ever caught it! I'm seeing so much better thanks to her. I walked out with the exact prescription I needed, and I spent a whole lot less than past visits at other places. These are such small details, but I really enjoyed the whole experience here. It just made me really happy to feel like someone actually cared that I was having vision problems, but didn't know what was wrong. Everyone was so nice and professional. I'll definitely be coming back!

I really liked how each member of the staff communicated with me about what was happening each step of the way with the whole examination and then measurements, etc. I also like that this is a small practice because I feel I am really heard when I ask questions, and these were all answered in confident, knowledgeable, and thoughtful ways.

My visit and VERY thorough exam went very well. Everyone was helpful and made me feel comfortable and explained all that was going on so it was easy to understand. I appreciate folks being upfront and not evading any questions that I had regarding costs or available treatments that may help my condition. Dr. Walters was very friendly and seemed to take her time in my examination and her explanations of my options for treatment and/or eyeglasses was most helpful and I came away very impressed.

I feel that the care I get is top notch and cutting edge. That’s exactly what I want with a diagnosis of AMD. I have learned that I feel more comfortable giving myself time for research before making decisions on treatments not covered by insurance. I have spent too much when I’m vulnerable after receiving scary news during the office visit. I also would appreciate seeing prices of products I’m considering in writing so I compare more efficiently.

My only feedback is that I wish I had been told on the phone when i scheduled the appointment that there were two exams and two fees - I was only quoted for the contact lens fitting exam so I wasn't completely prepared.
