I appreciated the thoughtful consideration of my tooth status before putting the crown on it. The atmosphere is friendly as well as professional. There is not the marketing push as in so many other offices.

Met Becky, she was my hygienist. She did a very good job on my teeth cleaning. I like the instrument that she referred to as "a water pic on steroids"! She took time to remove as much stains as possible from my teeth & I was very happy with her work. Dr. Nick is going to have to cap my broken back tooth that I came in for, It was cutting my tongue. He did a great job as always! I love the care & people @ Fit Dental ❣️

was new in town and needed a crown put on an implant and post done before I moved. Trying out a new dentist to finish up such a major process made me a bit stressed. Dr Van Zyl was wonderful! He was gentle, patient, thorough, and forthcoming about what to expect. He took a mold and had a new tooth fit very well within a little over a week because of my out of town schedule. I couldnt believe how well the tooth fit! was worried about needing adjustment during my trip. But once the crown was in, it just felt natural! Then mily night guard cracked. Dr Van Zyl made me a new one. So happy. Next time I hooe I only need to go to dentist for a cleaning:) Love this dentist! Especially since I am usually the nightmare patient. If something has a chance of going wrong, it usually does with me. The office staff is wonderful! They are very good about reminding you of upcoming appointments through email and text too. Love this because life gets busy!

I had a tooth removed--looking back, I think I could have had the procedure without numbing. After the numbing wore off, I got a headache. I took a nap and the headache was gone. That was my only "pain".

Worrisome problem with gums/dentures. Dr Van Zyl saw me the same afternoon I called. He immediately saw the problem and fixed it. Was in and out in 30 minutes or so.

My appointment time was met in a very timely manner and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

After Vickie Hamlin and Alicia Nicholson, Laurie was more talkative than her predecessors. I guess talking about what your about to do is a way of breaking the ice with a new patient.

I had a very good cleaning session, which was done quickly and professionally!

Did the taping my mouth shut for sleeping as the dentist suggested. It felt weird. I could feel that I do clench my teeth while sleeping. So taping your mouth helps you to breathe through your nose to eliminate the mouth opening and snoring. Also keeps mouth moist and your not drooling. I must say that I did sleep better. Thanks for the unconventional tip. Oh, the warm towel at the end to wipe your face and feel as though you've just had a dental spa experience. Loves it. Keep up the good work.

From Tracey’s professional yet genuinely friendly greeting, to the thorough and gentle hygienist, Alisa,, to Dr Van Zyl’s final check (that always reassures me that all is “OK”!). If it’s possible to love a dental checkup, this is the place to experience that. There’s a reason we drive two hours to come to Dr Van Zyl!

Doc Van Zyl never finds any cavities lol!! Seriously the staff and Van Zyl are excellent. They do a thorough job and make the experience easy and laid back. They are very courteous and very good ay what they do. I have been a patient for years and would recommend to anyone.

I had what I thought might be a dental emergency when a front tooth suddenly became loose. Dr Van Zyl even called me ahead of the visit to get a sense of it. Turns out it was a loose post and softened dental material barely holding an old crown installed by a prior dentist. In under an hour, Dr Van Zyl solved the mystery and installed a new post with the old crown. I’m very satisfied.

My care from Dr. Van Zyl and his staff was exceptional, I don’t think that I could any better Dental care anywhere. I highly recommend Dr. Van Zyl.

Dr. Van Zyl, his hygienists, assistants and every staff member in his office are the best you can find anywhere!! I give this office a 5 star rating for the thoroughness and genuine care they give to their clients. You won’t find a better place than Dr. Van Zyl’s!!

Other dentist/hygienist do not use same equipment for cleaning. I appreciate the meticulous removal of plaque with designated tools. Appreciate the polishing and advise given.

Dr. Van Zyl is the sort of person who is aware of what is best for a patient and desires to assist the patient in whatever their decision is. His work is top quality and everything is accomplished to the patient's satisfaction. While I have not experienced how long his dental work will last, I expect that is will far surpass my expectations. This dental practice has been a godsend to me and my family. I am extremely blessed to know Dr. Van Zyl as well as his dental practice.

It was just a cleaning. I usually see Laura but since she is no longer with you, the hygienists I seen was very nice and made sure she was careful and didn't hurt me!!!! That was kinda weird because no one has ever cleaned my teeth but Laura. She done a great job!!!!! It would be my pleasure to have her clean my teeth again.

Dr. Vanzel has been my family’s dentist since he began practicing over a decade ago. He is so smart, so compassionate and knowledgeable and gentle that an immediate trust is a given. He is a true rock star in my opinion. He is one of 700 dentists of 1.8 million in the world who has completed his fellowship in muscular neurological dentistry. So you can have any number of symptoms ranging from horrible headaches, TMJ, badly recessed gums, and even tingling in your hands, which can all be attributed to your misalignment of your bite. So because of his fellowship and training of neuromuscular dentistry, he is able to successfully relieve his patients with a variety of treatments. Specifically, in my case, my bite has to be rebuilt with the veneers and crowns. Most dentists think if they file the teeth down and put crowns and veneers on that way that Will alleviate their symptoms but yet what ends up happening is so many of them end up cracking and breaking their crowns and veneers and find out about Dr. vanzel‘s approach through word-of-mouth and he is able to correct their bite the approach he uses, successfully fixing the problems. So blessed to have him right here on Chattanooga!!!!
