Extreme professionalism from office assistant to doctor. Time efficiently Used.

i had a recheck because the contact lenses that were prescribed were not sent to me and rather the wrong prescription contacts were sent. Also, I had a corneal abrasion due to using the hydrogen peroxide cleaner instead of the correct solution and I burned my R eye. Partly my fault for not reading and partially lack of clear explanation from the CL person. Extra care must be taken to inform people of difference especially when dealing with people who don't see clearly to begin with! I always read all directions and the one time I didn't....... my bad as well. Learned a very valuable lesson!! The doctor that saw me was very good and I felt very comfortable with her and would not hesitate to see her again.

The check in I thought was time consuming compared to past experiences checking in. Too many questions not related to an eye exam. Exam went very well , Dr Mueler (?) is very thorough !!

Appointment for right eye pain. Took me in with a short wait period and thoroughly checked the eye. My immediate concern was the possibility of glaucoma, since it is in my family history. Dr. Aaker checked it out and detrmined that there was no obvious problem, but if it got worse, to come in. I was fully satisfied.

It was a relaxed visit. I appreciated Penney’s current information about my eye progress.

The tech (Jenny) was professional, but very personable. I had never met with Dr. Mueller: She was great! I did have to wait before seeing Jenny, and before seeing Dr. Mueller, but it wasn’t too bad. The check in girl was okay.

The laser procedure was amazing for how much it cleared my vision. I am still having fun looking around at how clear and sharp my vision is now.

I was very happy with the shepherding of myself through all the steps before I saw the doctor. He first asked me about my previous visit for a different problem ( nice touch, not done at other clinical offices that I have atttended) and then examined my eye. He gave a clear explanation of the problem, which had not been provided by the three former practitioners elsewhere who examined my eye. Dr Aker then made recommendations for further action, and that’s where I stand now.

Information sharing.

Dr Reck was efficient, caring and treated my husband in the best possible way. My husband’s eyes were dilated, scans were taken and the doctor carefully examined my husband. He then ordered a 2nd scan and immediately after reading the scan, we received the scan results from Dr Reck. My husband and I left Clarus with the relief that the blood on the eye did not have negative Significance. Excellent treatment!

Dr Myung and her staff are wonderful. 5 STARS for them! The reason for only 4 Star rating was my check in. The person was not at all friendly, did not address me by name nor any conversation other than asking for my ID and insurance cards, handing back to me saying “you’re checked in”. Not a very professional or friendly person at all. I’ve been coming to Clarus for almost two years and and this was the first time I’ve given less than 5 stars.

I like the good work Dr Waggoner has done for me over the last year. He is careful, honest and willing to work a bit harder to make it right.

My appt was at 11:15, finally saw the doctor at noon. nearly always a long wait from the scheduled time of the appointment.

As always, my experience at Clarus was a positive one from my initial check-in through my preliminary pressure check and eye dilation on to my final exam and handshake with Dr. Waggoner after receiving a good report.

The usual time spent on my appointment was cut almost in half! Usually, I spend almost 3 hours at Clarus but this time, it was about an hour and 1/2. I appreciate all the new procedures and equipment now available which make appointments easier and more efficient. Much improved!

I kind of felt like I got the run around because when I called asking about the stitches, I was told to go to the Laser Center where I had the surgery but when I got there they told me I had to go to the regular clinic so I went there and had to wait in line but when I finally saw Jenny, she was very sweet and understanding and helpful.

The wait time to check in was a bit long!! Only 1 of the 3 receptionist check in ladies were helping for about 15 mins before the other two took people to check in.. I got to Clarus 20 minutes before my 5:00 Pm apt, and it was 5:02 or so when I sat down in the waiting area after being checked in. Other than that every one was very nice & professional & my apt was very efficient

Last summer I had a very stress inducing cataract surgery at PCLI with less than satisfactory results. I came to see Dr. Jay Rudd to see if anything was salvageable from that surgery. From the moment I talked with the first assistant who took initial measurements of my eyes, to the consultation I had with Dr. Rdud, I knew I was in the right place heading down a path that is correct for me. Everyone I met with during my visit set me at ease and instilled confidence in me for their skills, knowledge, and abilities. I also appreciate Dr. Rudd's willingness to exhaust other avenues before recommending a second surgery to correct the outcome of the first surgery. Well done, everyone!

Katherine the technician who first examined my eyes was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I was very upset after the triage person did not even have the courtesy to talk to me in person last week when I walked in with what I felt was a serious situation, but had the receptionist make an appt. for 5 days later. I didn't expect to get anyone that cared about me as an individual and prepare myself for a generic visit. I was pleasantly surprised when the young man that took me back was very caring and listened to what I had to say. I felt he treated me with respect and sincere concern for my situation. The doctor worked fast was to the point and pleasant. He was in and out quickly, but gave me the answers I needed to follow up with my Dr. I hope someone reads this all the way through and realize the need help in the triage department. If I were a supervisor there I'd have a serious talk with that person as the obviously have not read the mission statement...

I was able to get an appointment for the same day I called the triage line, I was seen by the technician within minutes of arriving and then by the doctor, Dr. C. He was thorough and explained my situation clearly ( a possible shingles flare up in my eye). I was able to pick up my prescription on my way home and will be having a follow up appointment on Friday.

The patient roomer (tecnician) was quite competent and very nice indeed; it was a pleasure to meet her. The optometrist did his job very efficiently and pleasantly as well. I was glad I didn't cancel and go elsewhere after the front office people blew my first appointment (I thought about it), even though I can't say much for reception on the second try either (they seemed to care as much about their customers as about a can of beans on a conveyor belt - that's what cost you the 5th star!)

I've been going to Clarus for many years. The staff is very friendly 😊 and always get my appointments on time. They are very through and answer any of my questions that I may have. I highly recommend them to anyone needing eye Care. Great job Clarus !!

All staff members that assisted with my appointment were friendly, courteous and efficient. I enjoyed meeting Dr Rudd and was impressed with him on all levels. I feel confident in my treatment A very good experience.

I like being able to come in for an early evening appointment. The only thing I might suggest is better lighting in the parking area for those of us with the evening appointments.

Love Dr. Mueller and Rudd, but Not your Triage system. Takes more than one day sometimes. NO sense of urgency unless a detached retina is suspected. I had an acute bacterial infection and was only seen because there happened to be an MD in my office that said go in immediately. I was seen at 6PM and even with antibiotic drops, it was much worse the next day and then went to Urgent Care. If I had waited for Triage to let me make an appt. not sure what could have happened . We see patients in our office if they have a strong felt need that we can't alleviate. Our patients can also send/text photos so we can triage. You need this!!!

As a Glaucoma patient, I’ve had many a Field Vision test. This test was the most comfortable positioning of chair and chin rest ever. Then the knowledgeable technician provided information about the equipment and it’s design and affect on the eyes and brain. Amazing. Then a thorough exam from Dr Aaker asking lots of questions.

Would have been a 5 but I had to wait 20+ minutes just to get checked in. Only 1 person checking people in while another individual sat at her work station. People were blinded up out the door.

It was a difficult visit. Doctor had to give me some not so good news. It was hard to get direct info.

I had cataract surgery in October. Dr. Rudd and his team were first class in the way they did their jobs and the courtesy they showed to everyone. I just had my post surgery appt. with Dr. Waggoner and he is always very thorough and helpful.

This was the most efficient, comfortable, and well-choreographed appointment I think I have ever had at Clarus. I was on my way home 1-1/3 hr. from my appointment time. It was probably at least 30-60 minutes SHORTER than equivalent appointments in the past. My wait time between segments of the process was incredibly negligible. Thank you, Clarus!

Everyone I spoke with or had an exam from was friendly, professional and easy to talk to. I have two criticisms; I am not used to having full names be called out when it is the next persons turn. I think it slightly compromises privacy. My bigger issue is that when cataract surgery is scheduled, you can’t find out what time it will be scheduled for. Hopefully, I will find out soon. It is a bit inconvenient, not knowing how to schedule the day.

I like Dr. Stephen Reck better. Even though my appointment was 2 hours, Dr. Myong did not have time for me and wasn’t concerned that 7 of my family members had Macular Degeneration and blindness . Wasn’t interested in new studies that were out and she only wanted patients she could do injections for. That was my impression. Everyone else I dealt with was extremely professional. Margie Salazar

My appointment was for 9:20, I arrived 10 minutes early as requested, I finally saw the doctor briefly at 10:10.

Outstanding in all aspects. Mailed survey to laser surgery center yesterday afternoon.

The customer service was excellent. The wait time was not long to be seen by the doctor and the.test given before the exam and the doctor’s. I always receive excellent service from beginning to end.

I was seen quickly by the assistant who was very friendly. The front desk was also patient abs helpful. The Dr was professional and succinct, which I appreciate. I also had a decent experience in the retail area, but could tell my help was a smoker.

The entire process seemed rather seamless. My wait time was very reasonable and the staff was friendly. My only recommendation would be to avoid using full names when calling patients. I’d rather not have my full name broadcasted to the entire waiting room.

The first tech that helped me was very thorough. Thereafter the other techs were efficient, thorough and explained what they were doing before they did it. Dr. Myung was great as always.

I was charged an incorrect co-pay, which now will lead to weeks to obtain a refund, and possible follow up on my part.

The facility is beautiful: neat, clean, and wonderful architecture! I chatted with Sue in the front for awhile and she made me feel welcome. Thomas took me back for the intake (I would suggest that he introduce himself to visitors), and did a fine job. I met with Dr. Mueller who was able to give me a complete eye exam. I did have to offer several items of concern and historical details spontaneously, rather than being asked if I had any problems to start with. After I brought up 3 or 4 concerns that I had, Dr. Mueller was able to answer and address all of them. The best part was that I was given a set of contacts that have worked better than any I have had in the past 5 years. I have used starters, and will be going in to pick up my new contact lenses tomorrow! Thank you for a great experience!

I am very happy with the results if my treatment. I shouldn’t have waited so long to have my cyst remived.

I love Dr. Stephen Reck. What I don't like is the long waiting times. If seems to be the norm there anymore. I know they're trying to find ways to help by staying open longer, but it's frustrating to wait for what seems like forever. Again, my doctor is absolutely amazing, so I will continue with the long waits. I have faith they will get this figured out. Hopefully, earlier than later.

Everyone was great but you need more people In the front to check people in and once you are done with an appointment you should not have to go back in the line to checkout!! There was way too much time wasted in lines! Maybe have a separate checkout line and more help !

First time visiting Clarus and was treated with very well. They were very professional and respectful. Made sure that all of my questions were answered.

I see Dr. Penny Reck for macular degeneration. An appointment has many separate parts, including dye injected pictures . From start to finish I was treated with friendly respect, informed what was coming next and Dr. Reck was her usual friendly, skilled, knowledgeable practitioner...the best!

The technician and the doctor were just excellent in explaining to me what was happening to my eye. Also, both were friendly and courteous

Dr. Chad Waggoner was great, as always. However, when I called in at 8 am to request an emergency follow-up from my prior visit on Friday, the person on the phone was less than helpful at first. After 15 minutes on hold and after explaining several times that my eye was infected and swollen shut, she spoke to someone who gave approval for the appointment. I am a local surgeon in Olympia, and our office policy is always to get the patient in immediately when an infection is suspected. Perhaps Clarus should revisit their policy for handling such emergencies.

Great service, nice doctor and technicians. Very routine. I just wish I knew I was going to be dilated before the appointment because I couldn’t see after and had to come back again later to pick out and order new frames.

I was there before 2:30, my appointment time and did not leave Clarus before 3:30 despite the fact my appointment took in total about 25 minutes. I was so impressed! I went for a medical exam and though it was frightening for me the Doctor alleviated my fears. I couldn't help but notice the huge selection of glasses so I scheduled an eye exam. There are closer places but Clarus is worth the extra drive.

Dr. Rudd was obviously highly skilled, soothing and easy to talk to. I have been having considerable fear in thinking about this surgery and my interactions with everyone have helped reduce it. Dr. Penny Reck came in on her day off to attend to my issue. I have MD and was noticing some vision changes that I felt needed prompt attention. Obviously, she did as well. She proved to me that she truly cares about her patients. I am truly grateful that she is my doctor.

The wait time to see my doctor was minimal.

Although I did not get in at my appointment time, the preliminary assessment and retinal scan were timely, as was Dr. Reck. I so appreciate not having to spend 2 or 2 1/2 hours for appointments!

For the most part I am satisfied, my last visit the technician came and numbed my eye. Then left and I waited 10 minutes before Dr. Myjung got there my eye needed more numbing. Dr. apologized and said " oh, she was just waiting too". So maybe someone forgot to tell her I was ready.

Dr Rudd and his staff are wonderful. Have been seeing him every three weeks or so as he has been carefully monitoring my eye. Dr Rudd referred me to Dr Reck as eye has not responded to medication. Just so disappointed that I can’t get an appointment with him for almost seven weeks. Worried about my loss of vision.

After my wife's eyes were dialeted she had a series of photos taken of her eyes in one room. Later she was taken to another room for additional eye photos on a machine, which I believe was called a "Heidelberg". It appeared that my wife had difficulty keeping her head positioned and being able to keep the small green asterisk positioned so photos could be taken of her eyes. This test was not successful. Otherwise, the doctor assured us that her glaucoma has not progressed and he will see her in six months.

I just needed a new temple for my broken glasses. Mine was discontinued and the lady that helped me (I think your frames specialist) went WAY out of her way to find one through the distributer. She saved me hundreds by not having to get a new frame. Please thank her.

I have been going to clarus Eye Center for about 3 years. I've never had one issue. Got a wood chip in my one day I was concerned that I would have to wait for an appointment I called clarus and they told me to come right in, one hour later they saw me. Great staff great service.

I am very satisfied with everything except the length of time for the appointment. However, I still love the people and the care that I receive for my condition. The staff from check-in to leaving are the best.

Hiring Dr. Akker! He is such a knowledgeable, thorough & caring individual. He practices how physician care should be delivered. To trust someone with your eyes is a big deal. And you hope you’re dealing with someone who is exemplary in every way when they are ‘holding’ your eyes in their hands.

The staff was great! Polite and helpful. The only thing I would say is that at the end of my exam with the doctor, the lady that led me from the exam room didn’t make it clear where to actually go, so I just went to the parking lot to my vehicle. Otherwise it was a great experience.

I was a bit early for my eye exam, but the tech (Hannah) called me promptly and did a very thorough screening--very friendly and pleasant to chat with. I waited only about 15 minutes for my pupils to dilate, and then was ushered into the exam room, where I waited perhaps just 5 minutes for Dr. Mueller. As always, she was friendly and efficient, and answered several questions for me. I was finished and back in my car in about 45-50 minutes after my arrival! Fantastic experience. Thanks.

The person who administered my eye drops was remarkably good. She established rapport with me and I appreciated her technique. Off the record, there have been several times when I was talked over or about and it was clearly a day when I felt treated as an object instead of a patient. Dr Muehler was excellent, as always.
